Presentation: Mental Health Support for Near-Death and Related Experiences

This presentation will examine how mental health professionals can best support individuals who report near-death experiences (NDEs) and related phenomena, such as out-of-body experiences (OBEs), after-death communications (ADCs), and other transpersonal experiences. While these experiences can lead to profound psychological and existential shifts, they are often misunderstood or misinterpreted within clinical settings.

Drawing on research, clinical experience, and case examples, we will explore common aftereffects, potential challenges, and the importance of providing validation and psychoeducation, as well as accurate assessment and differential diagnosis. We will focus on practical approaches to improve clinical effectiveness and support client well-being.

Attendees will leave with a clearer framework for working with these experiences and concrete tools they can immediately apply, including assessment considerations, language for responding to clients, and strategies to support coping, stabilization, and long-term integration.

Kristi's Presentation: Messages from Heaven: The Healing Power of After-Death Communication (ADC)

When we lose someone we love, grief can feel overwhelming, yet it can also open the door to extraordinary moments of connection. Many people report receiving spontaneous signs and contact from deceased loved ones, known as After-Death Communication (ADC). These experiences often bring comfort, reassurance, healing, and a renewed sense of hope by affirming that love and connection continue beyond physical death.

In this presentation, Kristi shares her personal journey of grief, spiritual awakening, and after-death communication with her father, along with meaningful experiences reported by clients. Participants learn what ADCs are, the common forms, why they occur, and how to differentiate them from mental health conditions. Kristi also introduces The SIGNS Method™, her five-step framework, to help participants ask for signs, recognize and trust messages, and deepen their connection with loved ones in spirit. Participants discover how ADCs can provide healing, guidance, support, and personal transformation throughout life.
